This is probably my last blog update from PA. We are leaving in about two hours for our closing retreat in Atlantic City. I might do a post about the people in my program, but that will probably be done once I get home on Monday, or Tuesday if I'm really busy.
--------------------------------------------
On Monday and Wednesday my workcrew leader was gone taking care of personal business, so I got to work on grounds. It's not the most fun for me, but the people who work on the grounds crew are awesome and I got to have some one-on-one talk time with them, which was great because I had been hoping I wouldn't leave with out that.
On Tuesday my mom came into town, so since I was done with the daycamp, I chilled for most of the morning and then went to pick her up at the train station and bring her back.
Wednesday night was our group's Community Presentation. We got all dressed up and a couple of people shared their talents. I dont have any talents, so I didnt share. After that, we had a skit, which went over REALLY WELL. We had a short Q& A Session, and as we were getting ready to depart, oen of my group members asked us to all hold hands, and then she led us in this song....but before she started she
got a little sniffly....if you knew her, you would know that if SHE was getting sniffly, it was over for the rest of us. When it was over I was boohooing like a baby. It was nasty. Aaaaaawwwwwwww, i love these kids.
On Thursday, I spent most of the day at the hospital. I might have "caught something." But there's no sense in getting worked up until the blood work comes back in a couple of days. Haha...yeah...not that funny. We had our last reflection group, but I didnt have much to say since I had finished at my service site (the daycamp) a week ago. Most of us were stressed because we have SO MUCH to do before we leave to today - LONG evaluation forms, packing everything up (most of us are leaving right after we return from Atlantic City.
It's been a long few weeks, but short at the same time. No deep thoughts yet. Maybe I'll have some when I get home. Gotta go!
