I meant to do a photo post ages ago, but a couple of things happened. First I had to wait until I had access to my laptop (long story), so that I could upload my photos to Flickr. Once I posted the photos to Flickr, I found out there was no way I'd be able to do a batch post of the photos to my blog - I'd have to do them one by one. Not gonna happen.
So, I just decided to create a Flickr slideshow of the photos of my summer. The pictures are actually in reverse order for the most part. At first it was annoying, but the memories kind of got fonder, as the pictures got older.
The "show" starts out with a couple of pictures from my train travels from Los Angeles to Chicago for a family wedding (my cousin's cute kid made his way into the show). After that is a photo of my brother's frat headquarters and some pictures I took around Philly when he came to visit. And no, that's not be standing in front of the Liberty Bell.
Pictures of my and my internship folk before we went our separate ways are next, followed by photos from out weekend retreat, including pictures of Nacho playing guitar (he was pretty darn good!). Some kids from the daycamp I worked at, a random wedding cake (it got thrown in there out of order), a group photo by the dumpster (yay!).
There are shots from open mic night and the talent show. Pictures of the dance party, pictures from when a Capoiera instructor came (and we all got the hots for him), the views from my bedroom windows in PA, Parvin Lake in New Jersey, pictures from the orchard/farm, Amish country, Eyes Wide Open memorial, and some shots of people from my internship wrap things up.
I met some pretty fantastic people this summer - and as I recently told them, once I got home, I for a couple of days I just kind of sat around, not knowing what to do without them!
Feel free to adjust the time on the slideshow to your liking, and use pause if necessary. Yay, photos!
